Rev. Dr. Sherra C. Stephens-Jarrells, Commander of the North Carolina Commandery of The Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem met with Director Ken Wooten of Dove House, Children’s Advocacy Center located in Statesville, NC. Their daily mission is to provide coordinated and compassionate services to child victims of sexual assault and their non-offending family members. Since opening their doors in September 2002 Dove House has received over 2,050 reports and has provided services to over 6,400 primary and secondary victims. Improved, coordinated responses have resulted in higher quality investigations, and Dove House is now experiencing an 86% successful prosecution rate. Commander Stephens-Jarrells said, “It was an honor to give a donation to this outstanding organization.”
