The Grand Priory of the US, mindful of its social obligations to those within society who need assistance and brotherly Hospitaller care, have embarked on regular monthly collections of food which will then be distributed to needy families in their respective regions.
This operation, albeit not a much-trumpeted one, further underlines the social commitment of our Lazarite brethren. The picture enclosed features one of the Order’s members, Confrere Joseph Luna with Mary Battin who is the Sustainability Officer at the established NGO, Safe House of the Desert. Mary has donated food to the USA Grand Priory, whilst Confrere Joseph Luna will be taking the food to the needy families at the end of the month.
