Liane Q.Buck

Liane Queiroz Buck, Treasurer

Liane Q. Buck is the co-founder of Humanity Healing, the organization from which Humanity Healing International evolved.  She serves as Scretary of the Board of Directors for Humanity Healing International, a 501c3 public charity.

Currently, Liane Q. Buck also serves as COO and Managing Editor of OMTimes Media, Inc. and COO of Humanity Healing Network, Inc.  Both of these companies are “feeder corporations” which are for-profit companies wholly owned by a nonprofit company, in this case, Humanity Healing International, Inc.

Liane Q. Buck is an anthropologist and degreed Economist who did her graduate work in city services planning for the island Itaparica. While still in college, Mrs. Buck also worked In a research project about the Impact and uses of Mineral Resources on the State of Bahia In the Federal University of Bahia, department of Economics.  As a young adult, she worked in association with the Jesuit Priests from CEAS (a Non-Profit organization) as a project Manager developing Humanitarian and Social projects to raise the standard of living among the poor communities on the periphery of the city of Salvador in Bahia, Brazil.  She has worked for the Bahia State Commerce Department with statistics, was a bank auditor, a radio talk show personality and newspaper columnist in Bahia- Brazil, a prominent tarot reader and astrologer for the state of Bahia, Brazil, an organic farmer, and a Lay Death Row minister.

Shortly after Liane moved to America, she was the victim of a drunk driver and nearly lost her life.  During the months she spent unable to move while her body mended, she made a commitment to God that if she recovered, she would complete the 14 Acts of Mercy, which are actions and practices within the Catholic Church and based on the Sermon of the Mountain and the Beatitudes.

It was during her fulfillment of her commitment to complete the 14 Acts of Mercy that she met Christopher Buck on social media and together created Humanity Healing in 2007.

In September of 2012, Liane Q. Buck was awarded the President’s Call to Service Award by President Barack Obama and the Corporation for National & Community Service.

Also in September of 2012, Liane Q. Buck was awarded Commander of Merit of the Commandary of Merit of the Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem.

In September of 2013, and in recognition of her work with Humanity Healing International, Liane Q. Buck was made a Dame of the Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem, and The commander of North Carolina.

Liane Q. Buck is honored to serve as Aides de Camp to the Office of the Grand Chancellor of the Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem and is responsible for the growth of the Order in South America.
